Motivation for Crazy Eight Detox after week 5 - Results Men v. Women

The book Crazy Eight Detox focuses on a detox that lasts 8 weeks and then repeats until the detoxer feels detoxed.

In the POC of the detox, we found that a day of celebrating the end of the first four weeks was a failure.

Today we are rebooting the second four weeks of the detox reducing our calories and sticking to the food basics.

One of the issues of the POC after five weeks is the clear success of losing covid poundage and the difference between men and women when it comes to following a detox and setting body goals.

It is a fact that men lose adipose faster than women and in the POC, many men focused on the goal of losing poundage without gaining muscle. The Crazy Eight Detox focuses on gaining muscle to burn adipose and to make sure the body has enough muscle to continue burning calories so they are not turned into beige adipose.

The men lost quite a bit of weight but did not focus on building their muscles   I'm not sure if that group will be working for the next five weeks on building muscle mass now that they have removed quite a bit of adipose but the women are focused on finishing four more weeks of adipose removal through detoxing.

The result of the first four weeks of the POC for women showed that they are happy to lose weight and try on their old clothes and focus on what they are going to wear at the end of the detox - vacation clothes.

The men participating in the POC showed that they do not listen as closely once the goal has been announced and they did not achieve the optimal results of a Crazy Eight Detox. They POC men did lose weight and look skinny which might have been their goal.

I will add this information in an appendix of the book.  The information is anecdotally from the POC not scientific backed research but will be interesting for the women to read if they decide to detox with men.
