Biking for Leg Strength - Health Detox Phase 1

Day 10/113

The focus of the crazy eight detox is removing toxins from the body and reducing body fat.

All the suggested low impact workouts for the crazy eight detox are designed for people who work and don't want to live at the gym but are willing to go there and do 40 reps on four machines each day.

This is the second week and the schedule for the gym is:
  • MWF Legs/Glut /
  • TTHSA  Arms/Abs/Back
  • Sunday Long Cardio
The time spent at the gym is limited, 90 minutes. The time may feel too short for cardio and weight lifting, but you will be back the next day so don't worry.   If the machines you want to use are busy,  there will be alternate workouts for you to do and the weights are light, so add the missed machine the next day.

By the end of the week, you will have trained and toned your major muscles.

Today, the feeling after working out was tired leg muscles from biking.

If you are not a regular at the gym or don't feel comfortable at the gym, don't worry.  In phase I of the detox all you need to do is stand for four hours before heading to the gym to use the four machines for the muscle groups being targeted that day.

The weight machines are located together in groups and all the machines have the name of the machine written on it. Many of the machines show you which muscles are being targeted with the excercises and by using all the machines in one grouping, you will have targeted a muscle group arms - legs - back- abs- shoulders.

For today, the routine included a 40 minute fat burning incline bike ride.  The incline bike focuses on gluts, quads and calves burning an estimated 120 calories for the 40 minute cycle.   It is the bike with a chair attached.  If you decide to use the incline bike, you can take your phone and watch a tv show while biking.

Remember, we are burning fat and toning our muscles, building a leaner body and learning to remove adipose in a healthy way.
