Day three of preparation - Setting Goals

For the 8 week Crazy Eight detox.

  • Understand why you are doing the crazy eight detox.  What is the end goal?
    • Do you want to remove toxins from your body?
    • Do you want to be fit for the next stage of body transformation?
    • Do you want to be ready for a special event or holiday?
    • Did you complete a SMART evaluation of your detox goal?



  • Know what your expectation level is regarding detoxing
    • Do you know what happens when your body detoxes for the first time, the second, the tenth?
    • Do you know what happens when you cut your calories to a detox menu?
    • Do you know what dependencies you have developed in food (cravings)?
    • Do you know what your motivation level is for maintaining a schedule?
    • Do you know what type of daily result fulfils your motivation to continue the next day?
    • Do you know the volume of work you need to do to accomplish the detox?

Plan to succeed and you will accomplish a goal.

  • What people do you need in your life to stay and complete the 8 week detox?
    • Are you able to accomplish the detox without daily / weekly meetings with a health coach?
    • Are you able to talk to your family about your desire to transform your body and live healthier?
    • Are you able to talk to your friends about making this life change to a healthier lifestyle?
    • Is your work supportive of health and wellness programs?
    • Are you able to talk to your boss and let them know you will be on a wellness program for 8 weeks?
    • Do you have a general practice doctor who can do the bloodwork and general checkup to make sure you have no health issues (diabetes, heart issues, medication monitoring)
    • Do you need help with fitness motivation (fitness coach)?

  • The general Crazy Eight detox may be tailored to your goals.
    • Do you need to tailor the plan for a physical limitation (unable to stand, unable to eat)
  • General Resources Needed to complete the crazy eight detox
    • Do you have a health coach?
    • Do you have the crazy eight detox book (available in November 2024)
    • Have you read about general detoxing?
    • Do you have a detox task list?
    • Have you set out your calendar plan for the eight weeks?
  • Contingency Plans
    • Do you have a backup plan in case your day is failing?
    • Do you know the threats and blocks you might incur during the detox and how to pivot when a block or threat appears in the detox?
